Cool Extinct Animals
Many years ago there were exotic animals, which were worth a sight, roamed around the planet. It is very sad for the humanity that many of the cool and unique animals are now extinct. Even now the earth and its oceans are full of amazing creatures, but these creatures don’t stand a chance before them. Some of these beautiful extinct animals became target of humans and some disappeared because of their poor adaptability.
Some of the examples of these cool animals which cannot be sighted today are, the dodo bird (extinct since around 1770), the smilodon (saber-toothed cat), Quagga (half zebra and half horse, extinct since 1883), the Tyrannosaurus rex, Thylacine (the Tasmanian tiger, thought to be extinct since 1936), steller’s sea cow (known as the defenseless beast), Irish deer (The largest deer ever known to humanity, extinct since 7700 years ago), Aurochs (Large cattle, extinct since 1627), The cave Lion (one of the largest Lion ever known, extinct since 2000 years ago) and the great auk (one of the largest oak ever existed, extinct since 1847). The names listed above cannot be sighted anywhere else in the world. Some of these creatures are archeological findings, and through scientific studies they are found to be extinct about millions of years.

The major cause behind the extinction of the animals which lived before the humans is believed to be their inability to adapt to changing environment. Since the earth is formed, there have been many calamities and disasters. One who has survived these disasters can be sighted now also, like the turtles, crocodiles and one unique example is the Coelacanth. It is very interesting to study the various amusing features of the extinct animals through fossils, and some of the findings are just so unusual that they can’t make the scientists believe that such animals ever existed.
